The capital’s preparation for the autumn-winter period, the protection of critical infrastructure, and the execution of the Comprehensive Resilience Plan were the primary topics of a coordination meeting chaired by the Minister of Reconstruction, Infrastructure, and Transport of Ukraine, Mykola Kalashnyk.

 

Particular attention was given to the engineering and technical protection of energy and utility infrastructure facilities, the development of distributed generation, the implementation of cogeneration units, ensuring backup power supply for heating and water supply systems, and adherence to the timelines for implementing measures crucial for Kyiv’s readiness to navigate the autumn-winter season.

During the meeting, reports were heard from responsible executors regarding the progress of resilience plan measures and the fulfillment of approved schedules. The Minister emphasized that all work must be completed strictly within the designated deadlines, as it concerns critical infrastructure facilities whose functioning directly impacts the safety and well-being of the capital.

Responsible executors have been tasked with providing detailed work execution schedules for each facility in the shortest possible timeframe, specifying clear final completion dates. The State Service of Special Communication and Information Protection of Ukraine has been instructed to ensure daily monitoring of work progress at all Comprehensive Resilience Plan facilities, promptly inform the Ministry of any deviations from approved schedules, and react swiftly to risks that could affect project timelines.

Earlier, it was reported that over 2400 apartment buildings had enhanced their energy independence.
